The Sultanate of Sulu Darul Islam reasserts independence
March 3, 2015It is now 64 years and 6 months since the Philippines signed the resolution, but it has yet to show its sincerity and commitment. So, the UN is now pressuring the Philippine Government in this case, said Mohd Sakiral.
WORLDFUTURETV.COM: What is happening with the SSDI independence?
MOFA HB. MOHD SAKIRAL DAIE: SSDI Independence is waiting only for the UN open declaration which is forthcoming, very soon Insya-Allah (God Willing).
WORLDFUTURETV.COM: What is the next step to be taken by the sultanate?
MOFA HB. MOHD SAKIRAL DAIE: SSDI is on the wait and see as to when the UN reps are arriving for the “BIG DAY”. According to initial unconfirmed news, the preliminary Meeting/Forum is going to be held on 9 March and the final turnover could be around the 22-31 March 2015,..
WORLDFUTURETV.COM: Is the international community assisting SSDI or supporting the Philippines regime?
MOFA HB. MOHD SAKIRAL DAIE: The International community is openly in favour of SSDI but is keeping it in low key due to the stubbornness of local government officials and their hirelings who cannot readily let go of their political clouts. If they do so, this will signal their last hold on power.
The Phil Govt is even not contesting SSDI rights to self-detrmination in the open, afraid of being chided by the UN for its previous commitments to the UN decolonisation commission where it had played major roles in the Independence of East Timor and others…
NOTE: The SSDI is not to be confused with the Sulu Kingdom fighters who fought the Malaysian authorities in Sabah recently.
