Why India might not be the right place for embattled Minister to visit!July 22, 2017
A Mauritian Minister is heading to India today, but sources from New Delhi told WorldfutureTV the visit will only add to the Minister’s woes.
The Minister is facing backlash from his irresponsible comments against an Opposition Leader in the country in which he threatened in public and on video to shoot the latter.
Netizens in Mauritius are claiming the Minister in question is ‘running’ to India to evade the potential of an arrest by the officers of the law following a police report made by the Opposition Leader.
Besides his entanglement in the ‘shooting’ threat, the Minister is also embroiled in a corruption case.
Is his visit to India an attempt to dissuade the ‘other party’ not to publish a video in which a Minister is apparently seen receiving a bribe?
Our correspondent in New Delhi said an anti-terror group of activists is expected to show up during the Minister’s visit in India, in protest to what they say is the latter’s fretting with suspicious groups both in India and in Saudi Arabia.
The same sources said the Minister is risking it all with the trip to India, as there are rumours he would be asked to submit his resignation as deputy Minister of Mauritius once he reaches New Delhi.
We have no further details on who is behind the group that is expecting the Minister in India, but what is certain is the fact that he is apparently leaving the country in a bid to calm the nerves of the population and of the opposition for his public threat to murder a member of the Parliament.
But, India might just not be the place to visit after all the squabbles he has had on several issues in Mauritius, while a majority of the people of the Island in the sun are calling for him to quit his post and save the honour of the country with his resignation.
