Roubina Jadoo-Jaunbocus, the new junior Minister of gender equality said she is clean and is a person who has nothing to do with drug pedlars.
She said this in reference to the accusations against her and the fact that her name was heard several times during the Commission of Inquiry on Drugs in Port Louis.
Sources said she was seen leaving the Commission crying and that she is one of the three or four MSM MP’s whose names were mentioned during the questioning of witnesses at the Commission.
However, in an interview with THE STAR weekly, the minister mentioned in passing that she was a clean person who has nothing to do with the drug pedlars.
She also said it was sad that her detractors – including an MP from the opposition – who berated here in a daily newspaper.
