Defence did not succeed in raising reasonable doubts in SRC case

In the SRC International case verdict to be delivered today, Justice Nazlan has completed a segment in his judgment on the first charge relating to power abuse.

“In conclusion, in my judgment, having considered all the evidence presented in this court, I find that the defence has not succeeded in rebutting the presumption on the balance of probabilities or raising reasonable doubt against the accused under Section 23(1) of the MACC Act.

More than 3,000 supporters of ex-Malaysian PM Najib Razak are outside the Kuala Lumpur court complex.

But a WFTV.LIVE source says there is less than 1000 Najib supporters wearing the Bossku T-shirt outside.

Malaysiakini says they are clad either in red or blue with their T-shirts bearing the familiar “bossku” phrase.

It is a sign of reverence for their leader to wear this outfit,. The portal says these supporters come from all over the country.

A group of women from Najib’s Pekan constituency are also present.

They want to greet their champion with cheers and joy if the courts frees Najib of the SRC International charges.

The charges are as follows:
3 counts of criminal breach of trust offence that carries a maximum of 20 years jail, whipping and a fine.

1 count of abuse of power with a maximum 20 years of jail and a fine.

3 counts of money laundering with maximum 15 years jail and a fine.
