iCar will be similar to Tesla’s

The rumoured “Apple Car model is similar to Tesla.” But no further details are available on what this means. Will be another Tesla so that will mean Apple is in direct competition with the successful electric car maker?

Let’s take the Tesla model 3 and explore the coolest features of the popular car.

Autonomous driving

Apple is working towards autonomous driving cars, which will probably be one of the key feature of the iCar.

Apple is developing technology that could be used in the Apple Car, including LiDAR barrier detection systems and touch-sensitive dashboards.

Almost every single company working on self-driving cars right now uses LIDAR. Uber, Waymo, and Toyota all use it, but not Tesla.

BATTERY PACK

Elon Musk is questioning Apple’s plan to have a ‘new’ battery pack. In a tweet, Musk says

“Tesla already uses iron-phosphate for medium range cars made in our Shanghai factory. – A monocell is electrochemically impossible, as max voltage is ~100X too low. Maybe they meant cells bonded together, like our structural battery pack?”

Yesterday we ran a story from Reuters saying Apple is planning to launch the car in 2024. Read it here:

Superchargers

Superchargers are Tesla’s network of fast chargers that allow users to recharge their car batteries within an hour. At present, they only work with Tesla vehicles.

THE KEY AND THE APP

Apple has the mouse and the keyboard that made the difference for its computers. It has a great software for its iPhones.

Can it beat Tesla’s key and the app offered by Mr Musk’s company?

The Tesla key is shaped like the car and without visible buttons, it does more than the average fob you have on your car. Apple is a clever company. But Tesla is far advanced in the car making business.

DESIGN

Tesla has a unique design. Apple is unique in the design of its computers, laptops and iPhones. We believe it will design a splendid car.
